High School Boys 18u | Spring Season 2024

Age Eligibility:

Boys who are in high school, early or middle college, or home school equivalent and who are 18 or younger on September 1, 2023.

Practice:

  • Practice will begin before Carolina Ruggerfest during February 2024 at Olympic High School (on Sunday’s during single school season):

  • Practices will be held Mondays and Wednesday beginning Wednesday, March 6th at TM Winget Park from 6:00 – 8:00 PM:

      Charlotte, NC

  • Supplemental practices and video review may occur.

Competition

  • (4) Cardinals High School Boys teams will compete within North Carolina Rugby Union, (NCYRU) complemented with friendly competition and tournament play. 

  • The High School Boys will compete in all Cardinal Cup action!

  • Along with regularly scheduled league matches, the High School Boys will compete in Carolina Ruggerfest (Matthews, NC) Gonzaga Rugby Invitational (Washington, DC,) and potentially Nationals (Elkhart, Indiana) 

  • Matches will begin in early March and will conclude mid-May.

Registration fee: $445.00 

  • Includes USA Rugby registration fees, supplemental insurance, game day trainers, Cardinals warmup t-shirt, shorts, socks, and mouthguard. 

  • The Charlotte Cardinals believe everyone can help grow the game. Partial and full scholarships are available through the Peter Zehmke Foundation.
